Fans of the famous Commissario Montalbano are in the whole world today. The investigator was invented by the imagination of the Sicilian author Andrea Camilleri. The places described in the books and in the tv serials are invented but the Sicilian landscape and lifestyle are real. The "Commissario Montalbano" tour is a trip through the area of Ragusa to discover the places and the locations of the popular tv serial. You will walk through the narrow streets of Ragusa Ibla and recognize the town of Vigata of Montalbano's stories. In the month of July, August and September Hermes organizes weekly minitours "Montalbano and Baroque". The tour starts every Tuesday from Syracuse and includes a day trip (transfer and tourist guide also in english) to discovery the locations of Montalbano's films. Hermes Archaeology and Tourism was born in 2005 from the ideas of some young people fond of Sicily and its history and artistic and naturalistic beauties. The name reminds the Greek protector of the travellers. Hermes Archaeology & Tourism wants to promote tourism and archaeology in south eastern Sicily.
