Shared group walking tours

The nature hikings listed on this page are bookable as tours with private guide by agencies as well as individuals and private groups. These tours are not available as shared group tours according to a regulare schedule. During the year Hermes Sicily also runs a seasonal events' calendar and which sometimes includes also some of these tours. The seasonal tours take usually place on Sundays and unlike the tours on this page which include an English speaking guide, they are lead by Italian speaking guides. Only sometimes partial translation is available during the shared group hiking tours. It's possible to have a look a the currently scheduled tours on our seasonal calendar page.

• Are the hiking tours on this page private tours or group tours?

  The hiking tours published on this page are private tours, bookable by private groups, agencies and tour operators, small groups and individual visitors.

• On which days and times to the tours take place?

  Our private guide services are bookable all around the year. It's possible to choose the preferred starting time although for some itineraries you will find the suggested ones.

• Do you also organize shared group hiking tours?

  At present we don't organize shared group hiking tours with English speaking guides. During the year, on Sundays we run group tours according to our seasonal calendar but these tours are lead by Italian speaking guides and only in some cases a partial translation is possible during the tour.

• What is the difficulty level?

  It's possible to find more details on difficulty level on the detailed pages of every tour or you can contact us by mail for further details. The advantage of a private tour is that the guide can tailor the duration and difficulty according to the needs and preferences of the clients. Some excursions are comparable to simple walks in nature, others are more difficult.

• What are the rates of the hiking tours?

  The rates vary depending by the itinerary, duration and number of participants. Usually for each tour there is a standard rate (for group with more than 9 participants) and a reduced rate for families or small parties up to 9 participants. • Is transport included?

  The tours listed above do not include transport. Meeting point with the guide will be on location. For some tours additional transport from Syracuse could be available for small parties or groups. Please contact us for information.

• How can I book?

  For those tours where there is no direct online booking option, please send us an email with the name of the requested tour and details about your group and we will provide you with all the information about the booking options.
